Biography
I am Mumtaz Ali, serving as a lecturer (English) in Govt. Islamia Arts & Commerce College and Post Graduate Studies Center Sukkur since 2023. Prior to joining as a Civil Servant/Lecturer, I had worked as a Senior Lecturer (ELT) in Ziauddin University and IELTS Expert at Eureka International Academy Karachi, Sindh. Besides my experience in tertiary level teaching, I hold a detailed qualification in the domain of English Language Teaching. I secured my Bachelors (B.A) in English Language, Masters (M.A) in English Literature and Masters of Philosophy (M.Phil) in English Linguistics respectively. Apart from this, I have remained an alumnus of US- Sponsored Certification in “English for Business and Employability Skills”. I have been an active member on ‘PUAN International’, ‘Intelligent Computing Research Group – UK (ICResG)’ and ‘Pakistan Association of Phonetics & Phonology Scholars (PAPPS)’. I am also a regular writer, translator, editor and researcher with 08 research publications in well reputed HEC-recognized journals. My major areas of research and teaching include: AI-integrated Writing Instruction, Writing Skills, Literary Theories, Literary Criticism, CDA and Linguistics. Besides the academic and curricular career, I am a certified Calligrapher and IELTS Trainer with a long standing impact among my contemporaries.
